The premier purveyors of hard and heavy rock ‘n’ roll mayhem, The Erotics, are officially entering their third decade of chaos. To celebrate 30 years of underground sleaze rock dominance, sing-along anthems, and unforgettable live shows, the band released their highly anticipated new studio album, Just What the Devil Ordered, and the reviews have been amazing!
"From the opening bars of the subtly titled ‘Necro City’ you know guitar tone is simply gutter-glam snarl: part late-night noir, part dark graveyard delight... Where earlier albums flirted with excess for the thrill of it, this one seems to channel that excess with precision. It’s wonderfully controlled yet gloriously reckless at heart... For those of us who’ve been riding shotgun with Mike Trash’s musical misadventures for years, it’s confirmation that the fire hasn’t dimmed — it’s burning cleaner, hotter and brighter than ever." – THE ROCKPIT (Rating the album 9/10)
"Once I’d burned through Bon Jovi, Skid Row and Poison, I went looking elsewhere. Faster Pussycat. Vain. Bands that lived in the cracks — sleazier, darker, more dangerous. Less gloss, more grime. And that’s exactly where The Erotics sit... they don’t play dress-up with this sound — they inhabit it. Just What The Devil Ordered feels lived-in, like it’s been dragged through back alleys and spat back out under flickering neon... So get this, get sleazy and dance with the devil. He always had the best tunes anyway." – MAXIMUM VOLUME (Rating the album 8.5/10)
"I have always thought The Erotics were the American counterparts of the UK’s brilliant Dogs D’Amour of whom I have always been a huge fan... Every track has something special to it and the whole set is a more than worthwhile follow up to 2024’s Destined For Damnation. If you have never experienced the pure, sleazy, salacious delight of The Erotics before, then you have certainly missed out and you should rectify the situation by at least checking out this mighty fine release because I very much doubt you’ll be disappointed." – SLEAZE ROXX
